Earn a Running Day Apple Watch Activity Award on June 3

Apple plans to hold an Apple Watch Activity Challenge to celebrate Global Running Day on Wednesday, June 3.


To complete the challenge, Apple Watch owners will be required to record a running workout of at least 5K on Global Running Day.
On June 3, the world runs as one. This Global Running Day, record a running workout of at least 5K (3.1 mi) to earn this award. Use the Workout app or any app that records workouts to Health.

As a reward, Apple Watch owners can unlock a dedicated award in the Fitness app, plus animated stickers that can be used in the Messages app.








Apple has been celebrating Global Running Day since 2024, and it comes after the April 2026 Earth Day and International Dance Day Activity Challenges.

Apple Watch Earth Day and International Dance Day Activity Challenges Launching Later This Month

Apple has two new Apple Watch activity challenges coming up, celebrating Earth Day and International Dance Day. The Earth Day activity challenge will launch on Wednesday, April 22, while the Dance Day challenge will take place a week later on Wednesday, April 29.


To complete the Earth Day challenge, Apple Watch owners will need to complete a workout that lasts for 30 minutes or longer.
This Earth Day, April 22, record any 30 minute workout with the Workout app or any app that records workouts to Health to earn this award. The earth will think the world of you.

The International Dance Day award can be earned by completing a Dance workout of 20 minutes or more.
Show off your dance moves for International Dance Day. Earn this award by recording a Dance workout of 20 minutes or more on April 29. Record it with the Workout app or any app that adds workouts to Health.

Apple Watch owners who earn the Earth Day award will unlock a badge in the Fitness app, along with animated stickers.








The Dance Day challenge will also unlock a special Fitness app badge and accompanying stickers.








Earth Day and International Dance Day are two events that are always part of Apple's ongoing Apple Watch activity challenge schedule. They follow the February Heart Month activity challenge and the January New Year challenge.

Apple plans to hold a "Mindful Month" Apple Watch Activity Challenge on Friday, October 10. Mindful Month brings awareness to mental health, self care, meditation, and mindfulness.

On October 10th, let's take some time to appreciate all the ways we can care for ourselves and each other. Record 10 minutes of mindfulness or meditation with any app that adds mindful minutes to Health to get this award.
Like all of the Apple Watch Activity Challenges, the Mindful Month event will come with animated stickers that can be used in the Messages app.








Mindful Month is a relatively new addition to the Apple Watch Activity Challenge lineup, with Apple first introducing it last year. Apple's last Activity Challenge was held in August and highlighted National Park Day.
